Dancing to the patriarchy: The sexualizing of women in hindi songs

I’m a fitness enthusiast and a storyteller. I start my day with workouts at gym to keep up with my mental sanity but trust me on something that people around me love Bollywood songs even the party ones and item numbers , during my school collage days people loved hindi music. But what if I say that most of them do not decode the meaning behind some questionable lyrics?  There used to be a time when songs were a source of entertainment and an art when the guy confessed his feeling to his lover whatever cliche or cringe we find it today was a masterpiece once. And now since rap song culture evolved and new singers lyricist and musicians entered the bollywood industry focus of entertainment shifted leading to doomed creativity and loss of talent. What is the borderline of shamelessness? Man calls out his lover with ‘baby’ ‘tota’ or describes how each part of her body is perfect (describing hips , thighs, lips) even the skin colour ..which made him fall in love? And woman calls out name of his lover like ‘raja’ ‘babu’ (the respected one) get me money etc I want to drink etc. So bihari or other songs are vulgur because of their obscene cinematography or the lyrics but not these? And even in jolly romantic songs too first introduce hook up kind of activity then how two people fell in love .Has this become new definition of creativity and basic human emotions? Are these our new standard now?  I believe it’s these things that shape people’s perspective (somewhat) and people like all these because they are able to vibe to it…i just believe one thing that attention  from  these things should be drawn towards improving the lyrics the wordings and putting a positive impact in the mind of our society because once they hear or include this a part of their life they start accepting this mindset.
